2020 World Car Awards winners

Motoring journalists are certainly very keen on the Kia Telluride. Thanks to their votes, this mid-size SUV has just been named 2020 World Car of the Year. It previously secured the 2020 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year title following a similar process.

Out of the eight World Car Awards assessment criteria, the Telluride scored particularly well on Occupant Environment, Value and Safety. Luckily global availability doesn’t matter, because Kia currently restricts sales to the United States and Canada only.

Also noteworthy is the Taycan, which won two of the other categories and narrowly missed out on a third. Porsche’s pure-electric model impressed jury members in the areas of Performance, Environment, Market Significance, Emotional Appeal and Innovation.
