The Isuzu D-Max Go2 is a one-off off-roader

Isuzu has built the Go2 to demonstrate how its D-Max can be modified using aftermarket parts. Based on a pre-registered Utah model, the result is a pick-up that should be able to tackle some extreme trails.

At the front, a huge ARB Sahara bar covers the original bumper and provides a mounting point for a Britpart winch. Also fitted are a full under-body protection kit and chassis-mounted heavy-duty side steps.

A Pedders TrakRyder eXtreme raised suspension set-up comprises front coilovers and rear leaf springs, as well as adjustable dampers. Furthermore, front axle articulation will be better thanks to a TrakRyder upper wishbone, while the rear benefits from a Pedders anti-roll bar.

To help maximise traction, 16” wheels shod with 33” General Grabber X3 Mud Terrain tyres replace the usual 18” rims. A lockable rear differential is another addition.

The brakes have received attention, too. Pedder ventilated discs with part-ceramic pads at the front are complemented by discs at the rear (although the handbrake still requires separate drums).

A Lazer light bar on the roof, a Safari snorkel, aluminium drawers in the cargo bed and a Mountain Top retractable load cover complete the transformation. For extra practicality, there are heavy-duty seat covers and rubber floor trays in the cab.
