Toyota introduces the Aygo JBL Edition
As its name suggests, the new Aygo JBL Edition features five JBL loudspeakers (including a sub-woofer mounted in the space that’s usually occupied by a spare wheel). While a DAB-capable radio is the only built-in music source, owners can connect their own devices to the car’s x-touch multimedia system via Bluetooth, USB or an aux-in socket.
This special Aygo gets a unique look, too. On the outside, striking Electro Grey and Mandarin Pop two-tone paintwork is complemented by gloss black 15” ten-spoke alloy wheels and rear privacy glass.
The same theme continues inside, where various orange highlights contrast against the dark upholstery and Piano Black dashboard.
To enhance the driving experience, a multi-function leather-covered steering wheel, automatic air conditioning and a rear-view camera form part of the standard specification. Also fitted are lane departure alert, a pre-collision avoidance function with automatic emergency braking, and an adjustable speed limiter.
Like every 2020 Aygo, the JBL Edition is being offered in five-door form only. Power comes from the familiar 1.0 litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine which produces 71 bhp (53 kW / 72 PS).
Prices start at £14,150 with a five-speed manual gearbox, or £14,850 if the x-shift automated manual transmission is chosen instead.
