Ford Ranger Stormtrak and Wolftrak revealed

Ford has unveiled a pair of Ranger limited editions, which are due to arrive at dealers across Europe in October 2021.

With its enhanced specification, the Ranger Stormtrak is aimed mainly at ‘lifestyle’ customers who appreciate a few luxuries. Conversely, the Ranger Wolftrak has been designed primarily for use as a working truck.

The Stormtrak is based on the existing Wildtrak trim grade. Available in Super Cab or Double Cab configurations, it comes with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue bi-turbo diesel engine that sends 213 PS (210 bhp / 156 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque to all four wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Blue Lightning, Frozen White or exclusive Rapid Red paintwork is complemented by unique decals and a red grille insert. As well as LED headlights and extra underside protection, the equipment list includes part-leather upholstery with red stitching.

Furthermore, the Stormtrak’s cargo box gains a powered roller-shutter cover that is operated via the key fob or buttons located on and inside the vehicle. A black ‘sports hoop’, a bed liner and a load divider are fitted, too.

Alternatively, the Wolftrak takes the current Ranger XLT and adds 17” alloy wheels, off-road tyres, underside protection, moulded plastic side steps, a tubular ‘sports bar’ and a bed liner. The Sync 3 infotainment and navigation system is also standard.

Many of the exterior and interior elements have a special matte black finish applied, even the optional manual loadspace cover and Aeroklas canopy. Customers will be able to choose Conquer Grey or Sea Grey body colours.

The Wolftrak’s 170 PS (167 bhp / 125 kW) 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a ten-speed automatic transmission. Part-time four-wheel drive (with shift-on-the-fly functionality and a low-range setting) plus an electronically-locking rear differential promise respectable rough-terrain abilities.

Prices for the Ranger Stormtrak and Wolftrak have yet to be confirmed.
