UK prices for the updated 2022 eVito van
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed prices and specifications for its improved eVito electric van, which is due to arrive at dealers in March.
Available in L2 (5,140 mm / 202.4” long) or L3 (5,370 mm / 211.4”) guises, the front-wheel drive 2022 eVito features a three-phase electric motor, a single-speed transmission and a larger 66 kWh under-floor lithium-ion battery pack.
Peak output and torque are rated at 116 PS (114 bhp / 85 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) respectively. Top speed is usually restricted to 75 mph (120 km/h), but an optional 50 mph (80 km/h) limiter can be ordered instead.
Range, according to the WLTP measure, is up to 162 miles (260 kilometres) on the combined cycle. A full recharge takes around 20 hours with a normal domestic socket, but that time drops to 6 hours 30 minutes when using an 11 kW AC wallbox. Alternatively, replenishment from 10% to 80% capacity is achieved in 35 minutes via a public 80 kW DC facility.
Customers will have a choice of either Progressive or Premium trim grades.
Progressive models come with black bumpers, 17” steel wheels, ‘barn’ style twin rear doors, a sliding cargo door on each side, and a full-height steel bulkhead to protect the cab’s occupants. Also fitted as standard are air conditioning, a heated driver’s seat, a reversing camera, and a touchscreen-controlled Audio 30 entertainment system.
The Premium boasts a more stylish look courtesy of metallic paint, body-coloured bumpers, a chrome grille and 17” alloy wheels. Parking sensors, power-folding door mirrors and a leather-covered steering wheel are among the other upgrades.
Regardless of the version selected, gross vehicle weight is 3,200 kg (7,054 lb). Maximum payload varies between 807 kg (1,779 lb) and 749 kg (1,651 lb), though.
