Bentley launches the Bentayga S

Dark-tinted light clusters, 22” alloy wheels, black door mirror caps, a larger rear spoiler and a revised suspension set-up distinguish the new 2021 Bentley Bentayga S.

This extra member of the range is intended to deliver a more involved driving experience. Consequently, Bentley Dynamic Ride electric active anti-roll control is fitted as standard, and the Torque Vectoring by Brake system has been recalibrated.

The ‘Sport’ mode is specially modified, too. When selected, the dampers become 15 per cent stiffer, body roll is further reduced and steering feel is enhanced.

For any prospective owners who might want to venture away from smooth surfaces, All-Terrain Specification is a cost option. As well as a higher 500 mm (19.7”) wading depth, the package includes four dedicated off-road settings.

Despite the addition of a sonorous free-flowing sports exhaust, output from the turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine is unchanged.

Nevertheless, its 550 PS (542 bhp / 404 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of peak torque provide impressive performance. Indeed, the Bentayga S can sprint from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, before going on to reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
