2013 Victory Boardwalk

The new 2013 Boardwalk from Victory Motorcycles is very much a variation on a theme, and most casual observers might struggle to tell it apart from any of the other existing cruisers in the range.

But a closer inspection will reveal some unique features, key among them being huge front and rear fenders that wrap around the wire-spoke wheels and their whitewall tyres.

As expected, power comes from the 1,731 cc (106 cubic inch) Freedom V-twin engine. For the Boardwalk, though, it comes covered in chrome plating, as do the ‘beach’ handlebars, exhausts and various other bits of trim. Plenty for the bike’s owner to keep polished, then.

Victory is trying to engender a ‘relaxed riding’ vibe for its latest model, and to go with that footboards are included in the specification. Likewise the seat - which has a removable pillion pad - is designed to offer a decent mix of comfort and support.

Available in Pearl White or Gloss Black paintwork, the Boardwalk carries a comparatively hefty price tag of $15,499 in the United States.
