Škoda Citigo Sport launched

Škoda has added a Sport variant to its Citigo city car range.

Based on the existing SE trim grade, the new arrival manages to look the part thanks to the fitment of 15” alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear diffuser and numerous body stripes.

The interior features sports seats, unique black and red upholstery and a three-spoke leather steering wheel. Also part of the standard specification is the ‘Personal Infotainment Device’ which incorporates an audio system, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. All are controlled via a dashboard-mounted 5” touchscreen.

But don’t expect any extra performance, because power comes from an unaltered 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine that produces 59 bhp (44 kW / 60 PS). The Citigo Sport does come with lowered, stiffer suspension though, which should allow more enthusiastic drivers to make the most of that modest output.

On sale now, the Citigo Sport costs £1,510 more than the equivalent SE models. That means the three-door carries a price tag of £10,290, while the five-door version is £10,640. Buyers have a choice of white, red or black paintwork.
