Triumph classics range updated for 2014

Triumph has announced a series of cosmetic changes for its Bonneville, Scrambler and Thruxton models.

For 2014, the Bonneville gets new silencers which have been designed to improve the exhaust note. Also fitted are a restyled seat, a black pillion grab rail, revised engine cooling fins and new tank badges.

UK prices start from £6,549, with buyers able to choose from Phantom Black, Lunar Silver or Sapphire Blue / Crystal White colour schemes.

The more retro T100 version of the Bonneville adopts many of the standard bike’s updates, along with a new Crystal White / Aurum Gold two-tone paintjob. It will be offered alongside the existing Jet Black / Cranberry Red option, and prices are from £7,349 on the road.

Completing the Bonneville family is the T100 Black. As the name suggests, it’s distinguished by a black finish for many of the components including the wheel hubs and rims, handlebars, engine casings and mirrors. Naturally, the only colour available is Jet Black and the T100 Black costs £7,149.

Alterations to the Scrambler comprise an anodised bash plate and an embossed Triumph logo on the rear of the seat. The wheel rims, wheel hubs, handlebars and rear cylinder master cylinder reservoir cover now have a black finish, complementing the new Matt Pacific Blue and Lunar Silver / Diablo Red paintwork choices. The price is £7,349.

Finally, the Thruxton gains the Bonneville’s modified engine cooling fins as well as a chrome chain guard, a fly screen and modifications to its unique megaphone silencers. Available in either Phantom Black or Brooklands Green, the Thruxton is also £7,349.
