2014 Seat Leon Cupra and Cupra 280

Seat has launched the new performance-orientated Leon Cupra. Offered with a choice of two body styles, two engine outputs and two transmissions, the line-up comprises five different versions.

All use a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine and come with a mechanical front axle differential lock for improved traction and the elimination of torque steer. Also included in the specification are a dynamic chassis control device which lets the driver tweak the suspension settings, progressive power steering and an electronic stability control system that can be partially or fully deactivated.

Distinguishing the Cupra from other Leon variants are its restyled bumpers, 18” alloy wheels, full LED headlights and rear privacy glass. The interior features Alcantara upholstery, front sports seats, aluminium pedals and a unique steering wheel design.

Furthermore, Cupra 280 models are also equipped with satellite navigation, larger 19” titanium-coloured alloys, black door mirror caps, a rear roof spoiler, red brake calipers and gloss black cabin trim pieces.
