North American Cruze updated for 2015

Chevrolet has revealed its 2015 North American-specification Cruze.

The styling tweaks are rather subtle, as they focus on a minor front-end facelift that’s intended to bring the Cruze’s looks more in line with the larger Impala and Malibu. On the inside, the compact saloon gets a few detail changes which basically consist of redesigned cupholders and repositioned boot release and door lock switches.

Of more interest is the enhanced connectivity available with the 2015 Cruze. Among the features being offered is Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7, while Text Message Alerts reads aloud incoming texts via Bluetooth.  Furthermore, the OnStar 4G LTE system provides in-car Wi-Fi hotspot capability for up to seven devices, plus the Chevrolet AppShop allows apps to be downloaded directly to the vehicle.

The engine line-up, including a diesel option, remains the same.

Sales of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze are due to begin in the autumn, following a public debut at the New York International Auto Show later this month.
