Three Jeep Wrangler concepts for Moab 2014

Jeep has collaborated with Mopar to create three special Wrangler concepts for this year’s Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.

The first is the Wrangler Level Red, which has been named after the highest trail difficulty rating. Finished in black with red graphics, it features prototype 17x8” beadlock-capable wheels shod with 35” BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tyres.

Also fitted are modified bumpers, skid plates, a 2” suspension lift, Dana 44 axles and a Rock-Trac transfer case that gives the Level Red a crawl ratio of 73:1. Changes to the 3.6 litre V6 engine meanwhile are restricted to a cold-air intake and low-restriction exhaust system. Leather upholstery, a custom spare wheel carrier, half-doors and the Jeep Cargo Management System complete the transformation.

Next up is the very orange Wrangler MOJO. It’s essentially a four-door version of the Level Red, although the equipment list gains rock rails, a front-mounted winch, LED headlights and fog lights, a rear cargo tray and larger 37” BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tyres.

Finally, the Wrangler Maximum Performance is aimed at more extreme off-roaders. As well as a 4” suspension lift, its chassis upgrades consist of a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case, 4.88 gearing and Dana 60 axles with push-button electric locking.

Among the other modifications are a row of LED lights mounted above the windscreen, flattop wheel arch extensions and a Stinger front bumper unit. Finishing touches are provided by Mopar Blue paintwork, a contrasting black grille and Moab-inspired decals.

The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari starts on the 12th of April and runs for eight days.
