2015 Toyota Hilux Invincible X announced

A new range-topping trim grade for the Hilux pick-up has been launched by Toyota. Named Invincible X, it basically takes the existing Invincible model and adds some extra equipment.

There are certainly going to be a lot of customer decisions required when it comes to the supplementary specification.

As well as a choice of four different designs for the 17” alloy wheels, chrome side bars can be ordered with or without step grips. Inside, the leather upholstery is available in plain black or three two-tone colour schemes.

Buyers will also have to pick either a cargo bed-mounted 'hi-over' bar or the Style Pack. Included in the latter are a bash plate, a front bumper guard and various pieces of chrome trim.

The Hilux Invincible X is being offered solely in four-wheel drive Double Cab guise, and power is provided by a 3.0 litre D-4D diesel engine.

With a five-speed manual gearbox the price is £23,842 (excluding VAT). Opt for an automatic transmission instead and that figure rises to £24,842. Deliveries begin at the end of this month.
