Ford names its 2016 WEC drivers
Perhaps the most anticipated addition to the FIA World Endurance Championship grid for 2016 is the Ford GT. Competing in the GTE class, two of these exciting new cars are going to be run by Ford Chip Ganassi Racing.
Today, the driver line-up was confirmed as Marino Franchitti, Stefan Mücke, Olivier Pla and Andy Priaulx.
That all four are experienced endurance specialists shouldn't be surprising, because Ford is apparently expecting the team to challenge for wins during its inaugural season.
