2016 Harley-Davidson Roadster launched

There's a new member of Harley-Davidson's Sportster range. Named the Roadster, it combines various specification upgrades, a 1,202 cc Evolution V-twin engine and blacked-out components.

An enhanced suspension set-up is probably the bike's main selling point. The front end features a very modern upside-down fork, sturdy triple clamps and cartridge damping. The rear meanwhile gains emulsion-type dampers with pre-load adjustment.

Also on the standard equipment list are lightweight five-spoke cast wheels, anti-lock brakes and a circular instrument display which incorporates a digital speedometer. Lowered handlebars plus a unique dual saddle that's just 785 mm (30.9”) high are intended to provide a comfortable riding position.

UK starting prices depend on the paintwork chosen:
  • Vivid Black - £9,695
  • Velocity Red Sunglo - £9,895
  • Black Denim - £9,895
  • Billet Silver / Vivid Black - £10,145
