The Zafira Tourer gets a facelift

A broader grille, modified headlights (which can now house adaptive LED bulbs) and a redesigned bumper identify the latest Zafira Tourer. Together, they result in a front end that bears a noticeable similarity to the current Astra's.

Inside, a revised dashboard layout is the most obvious change. A lower-mounted central touchscreen and fewer buttons should mean better ergonomics, plus revised instruments are claimed to be clearer than before.

Improved connectivity is the real highlight, though. Standard across the range is OnStar, a communications suite that incorporates Automatic Crash Response, stolen vehicle assistance and a 4G/LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Furthermore, two versions of the IntelliLink infotainment system are available. In R4.0 guise smartphone integration is possible via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, while the alternative Navi 950 adds satellite navigation that can utilise OnStar's Destination Download service.

The 2017 Zafira Tourer arrives at dealers this October.
