Toyota GT86 Shooting Brake concept revealed
Officially, there are no plans to produce the GT86 Shooting Brake, but doubtless that position could quickly change if reaction to the concept is favourable enough.
This modern-day interpretation of the Reliant Scimitar GTE was actually devised by Toyota Australia designers back in 2014. Now, though, it exists as a running prototype that was hand-built in Japan.
Compared to a regular GT86, the roof line has been lifted to increase both rear-seat headroom and luggage capacity. Certainly more practical then, however the result – which looks like a cross between a Ferrari FF and a Honda CR-Z – loses some aesthetic appeal.
