Ford F-150 STX and Super Duty STX announced

For the 2017 model year, buyers of Ford’s pick-up trucks in North America can specify a new STX trim grade.

Sitting between the existing XL and XLT versions, STX models gain extra equipment and some cosmetic upgrades.

On the F-150 STX, which is available in either SuperCab or SuperCrew guises, additional features include body-colour bumpers, front fog lights, a black grille and unique 20” alloy wheels.

Inside, cloth-trimmed sports seats are fitted, plus there’s a touchscreen-controlled Sync 3 infotainment system that’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.

For the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, the STX package is being offered with all cab styles.

As well as a chrome finish for the bumpers and front grille, double-spoke alloy wheels help to create a distinctive look. Cruise Control and an AM/FM radio / single CD / MP3 player are also part of the enhanced kit list.

In the United States, prices for the STX variants start from:
  • F-150 STX - $35,615

  • F-350 Super Duty STX - $36,080
