Power is provided by a 313 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine with four valves and twin overhead camshafts. Sitting inside a tubular steel frame, it's joined to a six-speed gearbox and a chain final drive.

Output is rated at 33 bhp (25 kW / 34 PS) and peak torque is 28 Nm (20 lb/ft). Combined with a fully-fuelled weight of 169.5 kg (373.7 lbs), those figures result in a modest top speed of 89 mph (143 km/h). Average economy according to the World Motorcycle Test Cycle is 84.8 mpg (3.33 l/100km).
