2017 Citroën C3 WRC first view
2017's World Rally Championship will see the welcome return of a full-time Citroën works team to the series.
Its new car – the C3 WRC – has been built according to revised FIA regulations that are being introduced for the coming season.
Depending on the event, Citroën is planning between two and four entries. The confirmed driver / co-driver crews are Kris Meeke / Paul Nagle, Craig Breen / Scott Martin, Stéphane Lefebvre / Gabin Moreau and Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi / Chris Patterson.
The C3 WRC is set to compete against the already-unveiled Ford Fiesta WRC, Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC and Toyota Yaris WRC. Despite the withdrawal of Volkswagen Motorsport at the end of 2016, there remains a possibility (albeit slim) that an updated Polo WRC could appear too with private backing.
