NP300 Navara Trek-1° special edition unveiled

Full marks to Nissan for giving its latest limited edition pick-up an interesting name. The Trek-1°, which is based on the range-topping NP300 Navara Tekna, alludes to the -1° longitude of the Navarre desert in Spain.

Extra equipment includes a set of black 18” six-spoke alloy wheels, styling bars and two high-mounted forward-facing LED spotlights. Furthermore, the load bed gains a liner, a divider and a hinged plastic cover.

Although the Trek-1° is being offered in double cab guise only, customers do have a choice of Black Metallic or Pearlescent White paintwork.

Power comes from the usual 2.3 litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that develops either 158 bhp (118 kW / 160 PS) or 187 bhp (140 kW / 190 PS). On-demand four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox are standard. Alternatively, an optional seven-speed automatic transmission can be ordered, but only in conjunction with the higher output.

Nissan plans to build just 1,500 units, which will be distributed across Europe. An allocation and pricing for the UK have yet to be confirmed.
