2018 SsangYong Rexton first view
SsangYong has released some images of its new Rexton, ahead of the SUV’s public debut at the Seoul Motor Show later this week.
The body, which is made from 63% advanced high strength steel for greater rigidity with less weight, measures 4,850 mm (15’ 11”) long. In other words, the 2018 Rexton is roughly the same size as a BMW X5.
Technical specifications have yet to be divulged, but SsangYong is saying that a selection of diesel and petrol engines will be offered.
Unfortunately, certain elements of the exterior styling seem somewhat incoherent. By contrast, the interior design appears to work extremely well, especially the uncluttered dashboard that features a central 9.2” HD monitor.
International deliveries of the Rexton are due to begin towards the end of 2017. Customers in Korea can get hold of one sooner though, as sales there are set to start mid-year.
