Ford has launched the Ranger Black Edition
Europe's most popular pick-up is currently the Ford Ranger, but achieving that feat hasn't prevented the arrival of a Black Edition to secure some extra sales.
This special version – which is only available in Double Cab guise – comes with Absolute Black paintwork. There's also a matching black finish for the wheels, front grille and load-bed sports bar.
It's based on the existing Limited trim grade, so the standard specification already includes cruise control, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone climate control and a touchscreen-controlled infotainment system.
In addition, the Black Edition gains front parking sensors, a rear-view camera and satellite navigation.
A first public appearance is scheduled for this month's Frankfurt Motor Show. Dealers are accepting Ranger Black Edition orders now, although pricing has yet to be published.
Production will be limited to 2,500 examples.
