Toyota Hilux AT35 arrives in the UK
Toyota dealers will soon begin retailing the extreme Hilux AT35. Fortunately the conversion by renowned Icelandic company Arctic Trucks is fully approved, so the pick-up’s five-year manufacturer warranty is unaffected.
Ground clearance is significantly increased thanks to a revised suspension set-up and some 17” x 10” wheels that are shod with 315/70R17 all-terrain tyres. As a result, the approach and departure angles have become 37° and 28° respectively.
Available in double cab guise only, the Hilux AT35 is powered by the familiar 2.4 litre turbocharged diesel engine. This four-cylinder unit delivers its 148 bhp (110 kW / 150 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb/ft) of peak torque via a six-speed automatic transmission.
A UK price has yet to be announced.
