Gulf Morgan 3 Wheeler

Morgan has unveiled its new 3 Wheeler Gulf Edition, which features the iconic pale blue and orange colour scheme along with some very distinctive orange-wall tyres.

Understandably, some might feel that the livery is becoming hackneyed, or that it doesn’t particularly suit the minimalist bodywork of the 3 Wheeler. But at least Morgan has a good excuse, because this special edition has been created to mimic the Gulf-sponsored Morgan Nissan LMP2 race cars that compete in the World Endurance Championship.

As well as the paintjob, the Gulf Edition also comes with quilted black leather upholstery and orange stitching on the steering wheel. To complete the look, various other visible components including the engine, head lamps, mud guards, exhausts and roll hoops have been given a contrasting black finish.

Production will be limited to 100 units and, in the UK, the price tag is £29,162.50 (plus VAT). Given that the standard model costs from £25,000 (plus VAT) the premium seems a bit steep, especially as the cars are essentially going to be mobile billboards for Gulf Oil.
