Yamaha YZF-R125 updated for 2014
The diminutive Yamaha YZF-R125 sports bike has received a comprehensive overhaul.
Compared to last year’s model, the 2014 version gains an upside-down front fork, a revised rear suspension linkage and a radial caliper and floating disc front brake set-up.
The engine is still a 125 cc single-cylinder unit that produces 14.8 bhp (11.0 kW / 15.0 PS), but its fuel injection system has been recalibrated for better economy.
Visually the most obvious difference is at the front end, where an air intake has appeared between the dual headlights. Other changes include a switch to full LCD instrumentation, redesigned Y-spoke wheels and new die-cast aluminium pillion footrests.
Race Blu and Matt Grey paint schemes continue to be available, but they’re now joined by Anodized Red as the third colour option.
