Subaru BRZ price cut for the UK

From today, Subaru is slashing BRZ prices by a substantial £2,500.

While the instant hit of extra depreciation won’t be good news for existing owners, it does mean the SE Lux (the only available trim grade) now costs from £23,995 on the road. Opt for the automatic transmission version instead and that number rises to £25,495.

Consequently, the manual BRZ undercuts the virtually identical Toyota GT86 by £1,115. But one reason cited by Subaru for this price realignment is a more favourable exchange rate between the pound and yen. So, as both coupés are built in the same Japanese factory, it would be logical to expect a similar move by Toyota sometime in the near future.
