Suzuki confirms 2014 Burgman 125 pricing

Today sees an updated Suzuki Burgman 125 scooter arrive at UK dealers.

Mixing a small-capacity engine with some decent features, the new mini Burgman’s specification includes linked front and rear disc brakes, a magnetic security device that’s incorporated into the key fob and an automatic light for the large under-seat storage compartment.

Power is provided by a 125 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor. Producing 12.2 bhp (9.1 kW / 12.3 PS) with 10.8 Nm (8.0 lb/ft) of torque, it comes connected to a V-belt automatic transmission and achieves a very respectable 97 mpg (2.9 l/100km) according to the Worldwide Motorcycle Test Cycle standard.

In the UK, the Suzuki Burgman 125 has a retail price tag of £3,499, which becomes £3,573 after adding on the road costs. Buyers get a choice of either Metallic Matt Fibroin Grey or Brilliant White paintwork.

Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
