Citroën, Peugeot and Toyota create a new van
In late 2012, PSA Peugeot Citroën and Toyota formed a partnership to build light commercial vehicles in Europe. The latest product of that collaboration is a new mid-size van which will be marketed as the Citroën SpaceTourer, Peugeot Traveller and Toyota ProAce.
When sales begin next year they'll be offered in MPV, shuttle bus and panel van guises. Technical specifications, capacities and dimensions are yet to be announced, but the overall proportions seem to have been strongly influenced by the Volkswagen Transporter.
The virtually identical SpaceTourer, Traveller and ProAce are due to make their public debuts at the Geneva Motor Show in March. All three models will be manufactured by PSA Peugeot Citroën in Valenciennes, France.
