Toyota introduces the GT86 Orange Edition
Over the coming months, Toyota will be launching a collection of GT86 special editions under the 'Club Series' banner. The first, named Orange Edition after its striking Solar Orange paintwork, is available now.
Some visual contrast is provided by an Anthracite finish for the 17” ten-spoke alloy wheels, plus the door mirror caps and rear spoiler are black instead of being body-coloured.
Apart from the addition of orange stitching, the interior specification replicates that of the existing Pro trim grade. Therefore, the seats boast black leather and Alcantara upholstery, while the door cards and dashboard panel are covered in black suede. Front-seat heating, cruise control and the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system are also fitted as standard.
Despite a lack of extra equipment, the Orange Edition costs £795 more than the Pro version. Such a high premium for a different colour scheme is hard to fathom.
