The Nissan Navara N-Guard arrives at dealers
For its latest special edition pick-up, Nissan has taken inspiration from 2016’s EnGuard Concept. The Navara N-Guard – which is based on the existing Tekna Double Cab trim grade – is a lot less extreme, though.
Available with a choice of Metallic Black, Twilight Grey or Storm White paintwork, the N-Guard gains some unique body graphics. They’re complemented by a black finish for the grille, wheels, side steps, door handles, mirror caps, roof rails and rear bumper.
Inside, there’s leather and cloth upholstery and a set of bespoke floor mats. A dark grey and yellow colour scheme adds some visual interest.
Extra equipment comprises a tinted-glass sunroof and headlight washers. However, a rear differential lock remains on the options list.
Prices for the Navara N-Guard start at £28,075 (excluding VAT) if the 2.3 litre diesel engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Opting for a seven-speed automatic transmission instead increases the required outlay to £29,525.
By comparison, a regular Navara Tekna costs from £26,863, so prospective customers will need to decide whether or not the enhancements are worth the premium being charged by Nissan.
