Ford GT production is increasing

According to Ford, more than 6,500 people wanted to buy a GT when it was launched in 2016. Unfortunately, there were only 1,000 cars available, so the majority of orders couldn’t be fulfilled.

To partly address such a huge imbalance of demand and supply, the company has announced that an extra 350 examples are going to be built between now and 2022.

A strict selection process will once again determine who gets to become a GT customer. Applications can be submitted from the 8th of November for a thirty-day period, via a dedicated web site. The likely inclusion of a ‘no reselling for 24 months’ contract clause should – as before – prevent flippers from making a quick profit.
