Nissan creates an NV300 workshop concept

A collaboration between Nissan and British design company Studio Hardie has resulted in a bespoke mobile workshop. Although the conversion incorporates custom-made storage cabinets and LED ceiling lights, it appears that the wrong vehicle was used.

Yes, the NV300 van chosen by Nissan is ideal for this project, but surely the high-roof version would’ve offered better versatility and more comfort for anybody toiling away inside?

However, such nitpicking doesn’t detract from one of the concept’s primary purposes, which is to showcase a product called Roam. Essentially, it’s a portable power unit that recycles old batteries from the Nissan Leaf electric car. Capacity is rated at 700 Wh, while maximum output is 1 kW.

Nissan Energy intends to start selling the Roam in Europe this spring. Prices have yet to be announced.
