2011 Royal Enfield Fury

29 November 2010 Update:

Pricing for the Fury has been confirmed at £5,500 for the black version, or £5,895 for the blue or white paint finishes.

Available exclusively in the UK, sales are due to start early next year.


Royal Enfield is set to unveil its new Fury at the UK Motorcycle Live show, which takes place in Birmingham’s NEC from 27 November to 5 December 2010.


Based around the familiar fuel-injected 499 cc single-cylinder engine from the Bullet Classic, the Fury has been created to help the Royal Enfield brand appeal more to younger customers. To that end, it gets flat track racing inspired styling cues, including wider bars, a redesigned seat unit and twin silencers.


Pricing will be revealed at the NEC show.

Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.

Moto Guzzi V7 Record kit

Inspired by the 1969 V7 Record that set several speed records for Moto Guzzi, the new Record kit has been designed to give current-generation V7 models a retro endurance racer look. Included is a lightweight fibreglass front fairing (which handily uses the existing headlight), plus a replacement single seat unit that features memory foam. The kit can be fitted to the V7 Café and V7 Racer without any modifications.
