Carbon TX7 MMV unveiled

Carbon Motors - the company behind the E7, the world’s only purpose-built law enforcement patrol car - is expanding its range with the TX7 Multi Mission Vehicle.

As the name implies, it has been designed to fulfil a number of roles such as personnel transport, command and control, surveillance and disaster relief. Up to ten people can be accommodated, while cargo can either be carried internally or towed.

Among the many items of optional equipment that will allow users to tailor the TX7 to their specific needs are a prisoner containment cell, run-flat tyres, ballistic protection and roof-mounted solar panels. Also available is an impressive array of threat detection technologies including infra-red cameras, a proximity warning system and even weapons of mass destruction sensors.

For go-anywhere ability an all-wheel drive system is fitted as standard. Power comes from a V8 turbo diesel engine that’s connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, although a compressed natural gas alternative is also going to be offered.
