SLS AMG GT Final Edition revealed

It has only been four years since the SLS AMG was first exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but already Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that production is coming to an end.

To commemorate the model’s demise, a Final Edition version has been created. Available in either gullwing coupé or roadster guises, just 350 examples are going to be built.

For now specification details are sparse, although power will come from the same 583 bhp (435 kW / 591 PS) 6,208 cc V8 engine that’s used in the regular GT. Judging by the images, distinguishing features include a carbon fibre bonnet, special wheels, a front splitter, a rear wing and unique upholstery.

Along with the recently-announced S 65 AMG, the SLS AMG GT Final Edition is due to make simultaneous public debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Tokyo Motor Show. Both events begin on the 20th of November.
