Citroën DS3 Cabrio Racing coming
Following appearances at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Frankfurt Motor Show, Citroën has now confirmed that its DS3 Cabrio Racing is to enter production.
Distinguishing the Racing version are numerous carbon fibre components including a front splitter, wheel arch extensions, side skirts and a rear diffuser. On the inside, it features carbon-effect trim plus a numbered plaque. Citroën hasn’t quoted a quantity, but build volumes are expected to be very limited.
Like the DS3 Racing hatchback that first appeared in 2010, the Cabrio model also gains upgraded suspension and stronger brakes. Power comes from a specially developed 1.6 litre turbocharged engine that produces 204 bhp (152 kW / 207 PS) with 275 Nm (202 lb/ft) of torque.
A launch date and pricing have yet to be announced.
