2014 Harley-Davidson SuperLow 1200T

Take a Harley-Davidson Sportster, add some touring equipment and the result is the new SuperLow 1200T.

A ready-to-ride weight of 272 kg (599 lbs) makes it a comparative lightweight, a factor that’ll appeal to those who want something more nimble than one of Harley’s traditional big tourers. To help make prospective owners feel even more confident the redesigned seat is just 702 mm (27.6”) high, plus it moves the rider forward by 76 mm (3.0”) compared to a regular Sportster.

Included in the SuperLow’s specification are a pair of locking saddlebags, five-spoke cast aluminium wheels, Michelin Scorcher 11T touring tyres and a detachable windscreen. Also fitted are special docking points that can accommodate the optional backrest, luggage rack and sissybar. Bikes destined for Europe additionally come with anti-lock brakes as standard.

Sitting in the bike’s frame is a 1,202 cc (73.4 cu. in.) air-cooled Evolution V-twin engine that produces 67 bhp (50 kW / 68 PS). Peak torque is 96 Nm (71 lb/ft) at 3,750 rpm, while the transmission comprises a five-speed gearbox together with a chain-drive system.

Prices for the 2014 SuperLow 1200T start from £9,495 in the UK and $11,799 in the United States.
