Suzuki creates two GSX-S1000 special editions

Suzuki has launched the GSX-S1000 Carbon Edition and GSX-S1000FA Tour Edition in the UK. In both cases, those names give a big clue regarding their extra specification.

The naked GSX-S1000 Carbon Edition features an accessory pack that sees the rear hugger, crankcase cover, clutch cover and alternator cover all replaced with carbon fibre items. Available in a choice of Metallic Triton Blue or two-tone Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black paintwork, it also gains body graphics, wheel tape and colour-coded brake calipers.

This model has a price tag of £9,499, or £9,999 with ABS. Each amount represents a premium of £400 compared to the regular versions.

The faired GSX-S1000FA Tour Edition is all about practicality. As well as heated handlebar grips and a taller windscreen, its additional equipment list includes a 12-litre tail pack and a 15-litre tank bag.

A silver graphics kit completes the upgrades. Whereas a standard GSX-S1000FA retails for £9,999, the Tour Edition costs £10,299.
