Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan unveiled
According to Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer at Daimler AG, “Our Concept A Sedan shows that the time of creases is over. With its perfect proportions and a sensual treatment of surfaces with reduced lines, it is the next milestone of ‘Sensual Purity’ and has the potential to introduce a new design era.”
Just revealed at the Auto Shanghai motor show, the Concept A Sedan essentially previews the next-generation four-door CLA Coupé. At 4.57 metres (15’ 0”) long, it’s actually 70 mm (3”) shorter than the current model.
Notable styling elements include a striking ‘Panamericana’ front grille, which provides a clear visual link to the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car. Whether or not this will feature on a future production version remains to be seen, though.
