M Performance Parts for the M2 Competition
BMW has introduced a range of M Performance Parts for the recently-launched 404 bhp (302 kW / 410 PS) M2 Competition.
These retrofit items allow a customer to alter their car’s handling, aerodynamics and appearance. Power upgrades for the 3.0 litre, turbocharged, six-cylinder engine aren’t being offered, though.

Carbon fibre components
- Front splitter
- Kidney grilles
- Bonnet – reduces weight by approximately 9.0 kg (19.8 lbs)
- Front fender inserts with integrated air outlets (from November 2018)
- Door mirror caps
- Roof panel (from November 2018) – reduces weight by approximately 5.0 kg (11.0 lbs)
- Side skirt extensions
- Rear spoiler
- Boot panel (from November 2018) – reduces weight by approximately 6.0 kg (13.2 lbs)
- Rear diffuser
Chassis components
- Suspension kit – lowers the ride height by up to 20 mm (0.8”), plus there are twelve compression and sixteen rebound settings for the dampers
- 19” five-Y-spoke forged alloy wheels – reduces weight by approximately 3.2 kg (7.1 lbs)
- Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres
- M Sports Brake System Red – comprises M Compound Brake Discs, aluminium six-piston fixed calipers at the front and four-piston fixed calipers at the rear
- Motorsport-derived brake pads
- M Performance exhaust (from September 2018) – with a titanium rear silencer and carbon fibre tailpipes, it reduces weight by approximately 8.0 kg (17.6 lbs)
Cosmetic components
- Bodywork decals
- Steering wheel Pro – covered with leather and Alcantara
- Steering wheel with race display – made from carbon fibre with an Alcantara covering, the upper section features a small information screen and LED gear-shift indicators
- Stainless steel pedal covers
