Volkswagen T-Cross confirmed for production

At the moment, every volume manufacturer needs a small B-segment SUV in their range. Volkswagen’s rather late entry to this market niche is the T-Cross, which will be officially launched in the autumn.

Measuring 4,107 mm (161.7”) long, the T-Cross is a similar size to rival models such as the Ford EcoSport, Peugeot 2008 and Renault Captur. Volkswagen plans to offer its new arrival in China, Europe and South America.

Engine and transmission options have yet to be announced, but every T-Cross is going to feature front-wheel drive. Likewise, specification details are currently unknown.
