Fiat has updated its 500X crossover for 2019

Jeep unveiled a revised Renegade a few months ago, so similar changes to the closely-related Fiat 500X were expected.

The upgrades focus on a new engine line-up. Significantly, it does not feature a diesel option:
  • 109 bhp (81 kW / 110 PS), 1.6 litre, four-cylinder, petrol
  • 118 bhp (88 kW / 120 PS), 1.0 litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged, petrol
  • 147 bhp (110 kW / 150 PS), 1.3 litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged, petrol
While the 500X hasn’t really received a proper styling facelift, the lights and bumpers are different. Furthermore, the interior gains a nicer multi-function steering wheel, clearer instruments and a 3.5” TFT display.

Equipment fitted to the entry-level Urban trim grade includes 16” alloy wheels, manual air conditioning and a Uconnect infotainment system that’s operated via a 7” touchscreen. Cruise control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist and Lane Assist all come as standard, too.

Moving up, the City Cross adds protective skid plates, front fog lights, 17” wheels, rear parking sensors and dual-zone climate control.
