Extra power for the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4
GMC has introduced an Off-Road Performance Package for its Sierra 1500 AT4 full-size pick-up.
Costing $4,940 in the United States, this option adds a set of 18” machined alloy wheels, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tyres, a cat-back exhaust system and an upgraded air intake.
As a result, power from the truck’s 6.2 litre V8 engine increases by 15 bhp (11 kW / 15 PS) to 435 bhp (324 kW / 441 PS), while peak torque rises from 623 Nm (460 lb/ft) to 635 Nm (469 lb/ft). That output is delivered to all four wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission.
The rest of the specification is as per the regular Sierra 1500 AT4, which has been engineered with a focus on all-terrain ability. As evidence of that approach, the standard equipment list includes skid plates, a locking rear differential, a 2” suspension lift, Rancho dampers and hill descent control.
