Mini Cooper S 60 Years Edition launched
In 2019, the original Mini turns sixty. Kicking off the birthday celebrations is the new Cooper S Hatch 60 Years Edition, which comes in three-door guise only.
It’s distinguished by a unique and rather attractive paint colour called British Racing Green IV. A black roof, two-tone 17” wheels, piano black trim pieces and numerous ‘60 Years’ emblems complete the exterior look.
The interior is equally appealing, thanks to Dark Cacao leather upholstery with contrasting green piping and stitching.
An upgraded standard specification includes the Navigation Plus pack, the Comfort Plus pack and – perhaps surprisingly – an automatic transmission. A pair of grille-mounted spotlights is fitted, too.
Deliveries of the 60 Years Edition are due to begin next month, but production will be limited to 500 examples. On-the-road prices start at £29,990.
