UK prices for the Hyundai i30 Fastback N Line

Sporty looks with insurance-friendly performance is a popular combination. It’s the recipe followed by Hyundai’s N Line trim grade, which is now available for the i30 Fastback.

Customers have a choice of three powertrains and two specification levels. Standard kit on all variants includes redesigned bumpers, a black mesh grille, front sports seats, a reversing camera, a DAB radio and an 8” colour touchscreen.

The better-equipped N Line + adds numerous items such as LED headlights, heating for the steering wheel and front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, faux leather and suede upholstery, dual-zone climate control and automatic wipers. Satellite navigation is a £250 cost option, though.

An all-petrol engine line-up consists of 118 bhp (88 kW / 120 PS) 1.0 litre and 138 bhp (103 kW / 140 PS) 1.4 litre units. Both come with a six-speed manual gearbox, but the latter can be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission instead.

Anybody who prefers a more dynamic chassis set-up should certainly go for one of the 1.4 litre models, because they benefit from stiffer suspension, stronger brakes, a sharper throttle response and upgraded Michelin PS4 tyres.
