BMW has built an X7 Pick-up
No, BMW doesn’t harbour any ambitions to enter the truck market. The X7 Pick-up is actually a one-off conversion devised by the company’s vocational trainees in Munich.
Taking a decommissioned X7 xDrive40i test vehicle as a starting point, they modified the rear doors, removed some bodywork and installed a fold-down tailgate.
The result combines a five-seat cab with a load bed that measures 140 cm (55”) long. Teak meanwhile provides a suitably upmarket (if somewhat impractical) wooden lining.
Unsurprisingly, a production version isn’t planned.
