2020 Yamaha Tracer 700 unveiled

A restyled half fairing with twin LED projector headlights identifies the updated Tracer 700, which is expected to arrive at Yamaha dealers next March.

As befits a sports touring all-rounder, enhanced comfort has been a priority. As well as a moveable windscreen and fully-adjustable suspension, the 2020 model features handlebars that are 34 mm (1.3”) wider than before and a redesigned one-piece dual saddle. Seat height for the rider is 840 mm (33.1”).

Modifications to the air intake, fuel injection, ignition and exhaust mean that the bike’s CP2 engine meets Euro5 emissions standards for the first time.

This 689 cc, twin-cylinder unit is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It produces 72 bhp (54 kW / 73 PS) at 8,750 rpm, plus 68 Nm (50 lb/ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm. A 46 bhp (35 kW / 47 PS) low-power version is also going to be available.

Customers will have a choice of Phantom Blue, Icon Grey or Sonic Grey colour schemes. A UK price has yet to be announced.
