Mulsanne Limited Edition for China

Sitting in the back while a chauffeur does the driving is a serious status symbol in China. Therefore, creating a special version of the Bentley Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase exclusively for that market makes a lot of sense.

Just fifteen examples of this Limited Edition model are going to be built. Devised by the company’s Mulliner division, it’s distinguished by 21” ‘Radiance’ polished wheels and a ‘Serenity’ chrome grille which features a cross-hatch pattern.

Customers can choose either Black Velvet (black with a hint of red) or Onyx (black with a hint of dark blue) paintwork. Both finishes are complemented by hand-applied gold pinstripes.

Inside, a depiction of London’s skyline is embroidered on all four seats, plus the same motif is also incorporated into the dashboard veneer. Three two-tone leather upholstery combinations are available: Fireglow (a deep red shade) with Imperial Blue, Newmarket Tan with Burnt Oak or Shortbread with Redwood.

Honda WSB team launch

Honda has unveiled its works team for the 2011 World Superbike championship . The announcement of Castrol as title sponsor means the return to a very familiar colour scheme for the pair of CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes, which will be ridden by Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus. As in recent years, Honda has entrusted Dutch concern Ten Kate Racing with running the factory WSB team. First thing on the Castrol Honda agenda is a two day testing session at the Motorland Aragón circuit in Spain later this week. The 2011 WSB season comprises thirteen rounds with Phillip Island, Australia hosting the opening race on 27 February.
