Special liveries for the Giulia GTA and GTAm

Centro Stile Alfa Romeo has designed a collection of striking colour schemes for the new Giulia GTA and GTAm. Inspired by various racing saloons from the brand’s history, they’re going to be available in limited numbers.

In fact, total GTA and GTAm production will be capped at 500 units. Demand is unlikely to exceed supply though, because UK on-the-road prices start at €176,500 and €181,500 respectively.

Those staggering amounts won’t be converted into sterling until a purchase contract is finalised. However, at today’s exchange rates, customers would have to pay £155,170 for a GTA and £159,560 for a GTAm. By comparison, a regular Giulia Quadrifoglio can currently be bought for £65,555.

The GTA and GTAm are both powered by a retuned 532 bhp (397 kW / 540 PS) 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine that features a titanium Akrapovič exhaust. Various components – including the front bumper, bonnet and roof – are made from carbon fibre, 20” centre-lock wheels are fitted, the tracks are wider by 50 mm (2.0”) and the suspension has been thoroughly revised.

An even more extreme experience is promised by the track-focused GTAm. This version gains a larger front splitter and a huge carbon fibre rear wing, plus Lexan polycarbonate resin is used instead of glass for the side and rear windows.

There are no rear seats inside the GTAm, but a built-in roll bar and six-point harnesses are part of the standard specification. Consequently, it weighs around 1,520 kg (3,351 lbs), which certainly helps performance. The 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint takes just 3.6 seconds, for instance.
